I wanted to email and let you know what an outstanding time we had on Friday with Brad Abbott. It was an incredible day! Our goal was to soak up as much knowledge as possible, and also catch some fish, and we let Brad know early on that was the type of day we’d like to have. He exceeded expectations in every way. We learned so much and were able to apply that knowledge as the day went on, and the following day, even landing some large Brown on our own at some of the locations Brad recommended! Also, we had an encounter with another angler trying to crowd our position, and Brad handled with absolute class. I believe this person was upset that we had beaten him to a certain spot (by more than an hour), and wasn’t pleasant. Another example of Brad being a first-class guide and person all around.

I had a two day trip with Brad Abbot from Owyhee Fly Fisher on the Owyhee. There were six of us in the river both days. Brad and his crew were simply fantastic. They know the river, know fishing and we’re the most patient and accomplished teachers I’ve seen in the hunting and fishing world. They are passionate and very personable. The image of Brad coaching my 30 year old son into a 23” brown is indelibly etched in my mind. We’ve fly fished for years but learned a ton from these real pros.

Dan, In my opinion Qwyhee Flyfisher is a five star operation all the way from ease of booking, the pre-trip phone calls, the guides with expert knowledge of the river and it’s insects, to the gourmet lunches.

i fished two days with guide Brad Abbott. What an experience! Brad likes to site fish guide. That is, he sites a quality fish, gets his client in position to cast to the fish, coaches the casts, then coaches playing the fish. We had spectacular success! I couldn’t be more pleased!

I wish to thank you and Mike for such a great trip. You guys did a magnificent job. I surely enjoyed meeting you, and spending time with you. It really made the trip fun. And, of course, I was lucky enough to catch a good amount of large fish…and those two I lost. Well, it was fun to see those monsters even if I couldn’t land them. My second day was unreal…with the amount of big fish caught, all on small dry flies, sight fishing. The best two days of fishing ever for me. Joe and I were fortunate to be in the right places at the right time. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and amazing guiding. Also, thank your wife for those terrific lunches.
